Vikash Khokhar, a Ph.D. student in Interdisciplinary Materials Science working under the direction of Prof. De-en Jiang, recently presented his research at the ACS Fall Meeting 2025 in Washington DC.
His talk, “Structure, Reactivity, and Dynamics of Amine Derived Polydentate Ligands on MXenes”, was featured in the symposium Chemistry of MXenes: Synthesis, Structure, Properties, and Applications. His work advances understanding of how organic functional ligands interact with MXenes, a class of 2D materials with wide-ranging applications in energy, catalysis, and electronics, using computational tools like Density Functional Theory and MD Simulation.
He is part of NSF’s MXenes Synthesis, Tunability and React ivity (M-STAR) Centre for Chemical Innovation.
