Ikjun Hong joins the VINSE Superuser Program

Ikjun Hong is a graduate student in the Department of Electrical Engineering, conducting research in Professor Justus Ndukaife’s lab. His work centers on cutting-edge topics such as nanophotonics-based optical tweezers, label-free imaging, and thermal radiation.

As a newly appointed VINSE Superuser, Ikjun brings his expertise to the training and support of fellow researchers. He provides hands-on instruction for the Angstrom multimode and resistive tools, the Trion Orion II plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) system, and the Raith eLine electron beam lithography (EBL) system.

VINSE Superusers are selected for their advanced knowledge of core facility tools and their commitment to supporting the research community. Their efforts help maintain VINSE’s mission of cultivating a collaborative and student-driven research environment.

“I’m passionate about enabling others to push the boundaries of research and innovation,” Ikjun said. “By sharing my experience and supporting users in mastering advanced tools and processes, I hope to strengthen the collaborative, interdisciplinary work”.
