Rahul Shah joins VINSE Superuser Program

VINSE welcomes Rahul Shah to the VINSE Superuser program. Rahul is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Interdisciplinary Materials Science Program, conducting research in the NanoOptics Lab under the supervision of Prof. Jason Valentine. His work focuses on the design of metasurfaces for imaging and detection, including a new approach to enhance hyperspectral imaging using broadband metasurface filters and advanced reconstruction algorithms.

As a VINSE Superuser, Rahul will provide training on the Angstrom Multimode, Resistive Deposition Chambers, and the Oxford system. Superusers are selected for their expertise with VINSE’s core tools and play a key role in training new users. Their contributions support VINSE’s mission of fostering a collaborative, student-driven research environment.

“I’m grateful for the support VINSE has provided me and look forward to giving back by helping others advance their technical skills and research,” Rahul said.
