We are proud to recognize two VINSE faculty members for their contributions to engineering research and student mentorship:

Deyu Li, professor of mechanical engineering, received the Joe B. Wyatt Distinguished University Professor Award for his groundbreaking work in thermal sciences and innovations in nanoscale energy and materials technologies. Li’s pioneering research on super-efficient radiative cooling techniques has garnered national attention, earning him a Trailblazer Engineering Impact Award from the National Science Foundation.

Daniel Fleetwood, Olin H. Landreth Chair in Engineering and professor of electrical engineering, was recognized with the Excellence in Undergraduate Research Mentoring Award. A leading expert inradiation effects on microelectronics, Fleetwood has published more than 600 influential papers and is celebrated for his exceptional mentorship, inspiring students to engage deeply with research and innovation.
