I’m very interested in leveraging AI to improve health systems, delivery, and outcomes for the public. In areas of public and global health, I’m interested in using AI to improve disease outbreak surveillance, risk prediction, and ultimately help inform policy and public initiatives. I’m also interested in AI integration into digital and mobile health platforms. Using AI for improved semantic analysis of EHRs and SDoHs would be a great avenue to explore in providing more personalized healthcare for patients. In terms of health literacy & education, AI can be used to translate medical jargon to layman terms (for example), or create better tailored resources for patients to be more educated about their care. I would love the opportunity to explore AI’s potential in improving both public and global health through VALIANT. Public health encompasses a wide range of disciplines- not limited to policy, environment, economics, nutrition, and epidemiology.
