As a trainee interested in joining VALIANT, my research on nonrigid registration for deformation correction to reconstruct 3D meshes and body part regression using domain generalization directly aligns with VALIANT’s mission of advancing AI research through interdisciplinary collaboration. My work addresses critical challenges in medical imaging by improving the accuracy of aligning and reconstructing deformed anatomical structures, which is essential for improving diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning. Additionally, the application of domain generalization in body part regression enhances the generalizability of AI models, facilitating the integration of AI tools in clinical practice. By merging concepts from computer vision, medical imaging, and machine learning, my research contributes to VALIANT’s goal of fostering innovative solutions that bridge the gap between AI and healthcare.
