The integration of fully automated AI ambient documentation technology in healthcare aims to streamline clinical documentation by capturing provider-patient conversations, potentially improving patient care and provider wellness. Despite its growing adoption, comprehensive evaluations and comparative analyses across different vendors and healthcare settings are growing but still limited, particularly in academic medical centers. Thus our work seeks to evaluate and publish findings on the clinical utility and usability of ambient AI documentation technology pilot implementations within the organization. We believe this work aligns with being on the frontier of translational AI in a collaborative and clinical research arena, and thus integrates and aligns with VALIANT.
