My research focuses on investigating the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for providing data-driven and computationally efficient solutions to a variety of applications in the field of medical ultrasound. These applications include improving model-based beamforming for acoustic clutter suppression, performing ultrasound data recovery, and improving surgical image guidance.

Overall, the goal of my research is to further improve the diagnostic value of ultrasound imaging. This requires collaboration with individuals from a variety of backgrounds in both the engineering and clinical domains. This collaboration to further make advancements in healthcare embodies the fundamental goal and mission of VALIANT.
