Chenyu Gao is interested in applying image processing and deep learning techniques to large-scale medical image datasets to study the aging process of the human brain. He has been developing methods to detect abnormal patterns associated with neurodegenerative diseases using diffusion and structural MRI data. With the expansion of available data, he is also exploring the impact of generative AI on medical image analysis.
