Faculty, Staff and Postdoctoral Scholar Parking

Parking information for faculty, staff and postdoctoral scholars.

Building

Vanderbilt is updating its parking permit system as part of the transition to a zone-based parking model.

Faculty, staff and postdoctoral scholars will participate in a structured parking process designed to improve access, reliability, and alignment with campus parking demand.

Parking Options

Daily Parking

Faculty, staff, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students will participate in a structured parking process designed to improve access, reliability, and alignment with campus parking demand.

Daily parking provides flexibility for individuals who do not need to park on campus every day. Daily parking rates will shift from a flat rate to a banded pricing model

2026–27 Daily Parking Permit Rates

  • Band 1: $3.50/ day
  • Band 2: $5.25/ day
  • Band 3: $7.25/ day
  • Band 4: $10.25/ day

If you park on campus more than 15 days per month, an annual permit will likely be the more cost-effective option.

Annual Parking

Annual parking provides consistent access for individuals who park on campus regularly. Parking selection for annual permits will occur through a structured process based on enrollment waves.

  • Flexible After-Hours Options

  • Free Parking Option

Free parking is available in Zone 15 - Chestnut Street lots. Shuttle service to/from campus is provided by VUMC, in addition to regular WeGo bus service.

Reserved Parking Permits

Reserved parking permits provide exclusive access to a designated parking space reserved for a specific permit holder. These spaces are assigned to an individual and are available for their use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Reserved permits are available in limited quantities and are offered only in select locations across campus. They are typically utilized to support specific operational, business, or departmental needs requiring a dedicated parking space.

Reserved permits may be purchased directly by an employee or sponsored by a department. Pricing and availability vary by location and are subject to space availability.
