New Student Modules

What does it mean to be part of the Vanderbilt community? What do you contribute? What can you expect of others and them of you? Our Anchored in Our Values Learning Series helps new Commodores make informed choices regarding their own health and safety, as well as the health and safety of other students and the larger Vanderbilt community. The online, asynchronous modules provide crucial information about our community’s expectations and, thus, are required of all entering students.

Anchored in Our Values - Learning Series

Launching in January

The mandatory Anchored in Our Values Learning Series launched on January 2, 2026. New students assigned to the learning series will receive weekly emails to their @vanderbilt.edu email address with access instructions. The deadline for completion is Friday, January 16, 2026.

Vanderbilt partners with Vector, a leader in online prevention education, to facilitate the Anchored in Our Values Learning Series. Vanderbilt is a Campus Prevention Network Seal of Prevention honoree and takes pride in the proactive learning we require students to engage with before their arrival as new students. The access instructions and list of required modules are below.

Access Instructions

All incoming students are required to complete the learning series requirements. Deadlines for completion will be communicated to new students over the summer.

Please note that emails regarding the Anchored In Our Values learning series will be sent to each student’s Vanderbilt email address from @safecolleges.com when the modules are available to be completed. The subject line is “Mandatory: Anchored in Our Values Learning Series”
