Process and Systems Optimization

Working under the direction of Vice Chancellors Brett Sweet, Eric Kopstain, and John Lutz, the Process & Systems Optimization team, originating from the SkyVU project team, partners with functional leaders and campus stakeholders to optimize our internal processes, stabilize our Oracle Cloud implementation, enable new functionality, and assure institutional data and compliance needs are met with our core Financial and HR systems. 

Meet the Process and Systems Optimization Team


Leading the P&SO group, Josh primarily works with business officers and functional leaders and serves as the organization’s central point person. He joined Vanderbilt on the SkyVU Project in May 2016 to work on Business Process Analysis and Redesign with community stakeholders.

Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Memphis, J.D. from Southern Methodist University

Consulting and Process Solutions


As the leader of P&SO’s Consulting and Process Solutions team, Ben’s efforts are dedicated to process optimization and systems configuration. Having previously been a Principal Consultant for Strategy with Vanderbilt IT, he officially joined the team in November 2017 during the SkyVU project implementation.

Education: B.S. in History from Purdue University, M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University

Licenses and certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP)

Brianna Roe

Brianna works to implement new and updated Oracle Cloud functionality, support functional business processes, and triage user’s issues. Brianna joined Vanderbilt and the P&SO Team in January 2019.

Education: B.A. in Psychology from California State University, San Marcos, M.A. in Organizational Behavior and Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University, M.S. in Human Resources Management from Claremont Graduate University

Licenses and certifications: SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)

Brianna Roe



Marybeth works to implement new and updated Oracle Cloud functionality, support functional business processes, and triage user’s issues.  Prior to joining the P&SO Team in January 2020, Marybeth was a Business Intelligence Analyst with Vanderbilt IT.

Learning and Communications Strategy

As the leader of P&SO’s Learning and Communications Strategy team, Amanda focuses on equipping the Vanderbilt community for success in using our administrative systems and related processes. Having previously served as a Manager in Finance Training at Vanderbilt, she was one of the first members of the SkyVU project team, joining in February 2016.

Education: B.S. in Business Administration & Accounting from Washington & Lee University

Licenses and certifications: Certified Public Accountant, Kirkpatrick Four Levels® Certification (Bronze Level), Certified Prosci® Change Management Professional

Amanda Roberts



David works on the community learning and development aspects of Oracle Cloud. David joined Vanderbilt and the P&SO team in November 2018.
