Current Opportunities at Vanderbilt

The Polyn Lab and the Woodman Lab in the Psychology Department at Vanderbilt University seek applicants for a co-mentored postdoctoral researcher position. The researcher will work on projects developing computational models of human behavioral performance in episodic memory and visual working memory tasks. The researcher will be given training in computational model development and measuring human electrophysiology (EEG and event-related potentials). Postdoctoral researcher responsibilities will include designing, collecting, and analyzing experimental data, developing computational modeling code, publishing scientific manuscripts, presenting at conferences, and submitting mentored grant applications. This is an ideal position for those seeking a postdoctoral career of high research productivity to successfully transition to an independent academic research career.

Desired skills: Candidates should hold a PhD in Psychology or Neuroscience. Competitive candidates will have a strong publication record and experience in experimental psychology, computational modeling, brain imaging, or electrophysiology, as well as Python programming experience.
Additional information: The appointment start date is negotiable. The appointment has a possible duration of two years, contingent upon successful performance in the first year. Salary is commensurate with experience.
