MIHOW Director
Tonya has been the director of the MIHOW program since 2007. Previously, she was a MIHOW site leader in Nashville, TN. She has a Master's of Social Work degree from the University of Tennessee. Her past work experience includes community organizing, case work with Hispanic families, resettlement work with immigrant and refugee families, and emergency assistance. She is married and has three precocious children.
Program Director
Kieme has a passion for community engagement and advocating for vulnerable populations. She believes that health is significant through all life cycles and was drawn to MIHOW because early childhood builds the foundation to help children develop skills they need to become well-functioning adults. As part of MIHOW she hopes to ensure caregivers can access resources to attain their full potential. Kieme has a bachelor's degree in public health from Georgia Southern University and is currently pursuing a Master's in Health Care Administration at Trevecca Nazarene University. Prior to joining MIHOW, Kieme worked as a health educator, providing prevention education utilizing a developed curriculum to support senior companion volunteers in Davidson and Rutherford counties. She also has experience supporting developing programs that increase the quality of life for older adults through affordable housing solutions and addressing unique access and navigation challenges to promote health equity.
Regional Consultant West Virginia
Nonie shares the responsibilities of Regional Consultant with Debbie Withrow. She is the Adolescent Health Coordinator for a region of West Virginia which includes six counties. Nonie earned her Bachelor's Degree in Counseling from Marshall University, and then continued her education in Family Therapy at the Family Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Nonie has worked with MIHOW for 18 years. She loves the program because it has such a positive focus. Nonie has one daughter, two sons, and two grandchildren.
