Interdisciplinarity in Emergent Technology

Project at a Glance

This research initiative investigates how to foster meaningful collaboration across disciplinary boundaries in projects involving emerging digital tools; including Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and other advanced technologies.

The core research questions examine:

  • How can lawyers, humanists, engineers, and domain specialists collaborate effectively on technology projects?
  • What frameworks enable non-technical and technical researchers to co-design solutions with genuine social impact?
  • How do we build structures and practices that support interdisciplinary competence in emergent technology development?

Through project-based research, we explore models for bringing together diverse perspectives—from the humanities, social sciences, law, and engineering—to collectively shape how emerging technologies are conceptualized, built, and deployed.
