The Institute for Space and Defense Electronics (ISDE) had the opportunity to host the 2024 EPICA IAB Fall Meeting and Reception at Vanderbilt University. This event brought together industry leaders, government representatives, researchers, and academic experts for in-depth discussions on key topics in radiation effects research, semiconductor reliability, and the future of electronic systems in extreme environments.
Over the course of the meeting, attendees engaged in technical presentations, collaborative discussions, and networking opportunities aimed at strengthening connections between academia and industry. We heard from a variety of speakers, including faculty from multiple universities, researchers, and graduate students from Georgia Tech, USC CREOL, and Vanderbilt, who shared their latest work and insights. These discussions covered a range of topics.
Beyond the formal presentations, the meeting provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to exchange ideas and gain new perspectives on challenges facing the field. The reception allowed for more informal conversations, giving participants a chance to build relationships and explore potential research collaborations in a relaxed setting.
ISDE is proud to have hosted this event and appreciates the contributions of everyone who attended. We look forward to continuing these conversations and supporting the ongoing exchange of knowledge that drives progress in radiation effects research.
