Where Innovation Meets Global Policy

Immersion Vanderbilt Faculty Advisers: Leah Dundon and Ole Molvig, School of Engineering

Pathway: Innovation, Arts and Design

Ayaan Siddiqui (Economics & History, '26) explored the intersection of artificial intelligence, climate policy, and global governance through Imagine Land 2040, an AI-driven climate narrative film that was screened internationally at COP16 UNCCD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a producer and strategic consultant on the project, he helped secure funding, shape the film's messaging, and examine how emerging technologies can be introduced into complex international institutions.

His Immersion Vanderbilt experience transformed his understanding of governance from an academic subject into a lived practice and strengthened his commitment to working at the intersection of AI, policy, and global development.

This project gave me the confidence to lead on the global stage and showed me that young people have the power to shape international conversations. It instilled a sense of legitimacy and urgency in my work that will carry into my post-grad career.
