Pam Jones

Pam Jones, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN

Associate Vice Chancellor for Health, Wellbeing and Belonging

Associate Professor, School of Nursing

Pam Jones oversees all aspects of the university's strategic health and wellness priorities, including collaborative health and wellness efforts with Vanderbilt University Medical Center. As VUSN Senior Associate Dean for Clinical and Community Partnerships, she previously served as the co-chair of the university's Public Health Central Command Center during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her scholarly expertise and clinical experience informed the careful orchestration of all health processes--including managing patient profiles, contact tracing, isolation planning, quarantine notifications, cluster analysis, data management and psychological assistance for all on-campus students, faculty and staff. In her seven years as dean, she directed VUSN's working relationship with VUMC, led community outreach and managed the school's faculty practice arm, which provides advanced practice leadership and care at VUMC nurse-managed clinics and programs. She also served as expert and liaison to VUMC in the development and mentorship of nurse leaders and on special initiatives. She continues to collaborate with VUMC on population health initiatives, which will provide university leaders with ongoing strategic and operational insight into the most important health and wellness issues at Vanderbilt and across Nashville. At VUSN, she teaches and mentors in the doctor of nursing practice program.

Pam Jones

Stacey Bonner, Masters of Social Work

Director, Health, Wellbeing and Belonging Programs

Stacey Bonner serves as the Director of Health, Wellbeing and Belonging Programs.  As a key administrative leader of the office, Stacey manages aspects of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), works with Vanderbilt’s wellness vendors, and assists with the Employee Hardship Fund.

Prior to joining Health, Wellbeing and Belonging, Stacey worked in Vanderbilt Human Resources (benefits) providing wellbeing programming to faculty and staff of Vanderbilt.  She provided leadership for and worked closely with a team of vendors and consultants to develop and administer a full spectrum of wellbeing programs.

Prior to joining Human Resources in 2020, Stacey served as the Site Director at The Acorn School (Vanderbilt’s childcare center) since 2017.  In that role, she administered the day-to-day activities of a licensed childcare center, provided support to staff, and was the first point of contact for parents.  During her time at the childcare, she was part of the leadership team that successfully transitioned their licensure from the Department of Education to the Department of Human Services.

Preceding her position as Site Director, Stacey served as Family Services Coordinator at Vanderbilt Child and Family Center since 2009.  In that function, she worked closely with those caring for an aging spouse or parent.  Stacey developed and organized monthly learning sessions, coordinated with outside agencies to provide resources and services to the Vanderbilt community, established and organized an elder care fair on campus, and developed and facilitated an on-campus caregiver support group.

Stacey has worked closely with organizations in the community to provide mental health support to individuals.

Amy Silvers, BSN, RN

Programs Manager, Public Health and Wellbeing Champion

As Public Health Program Manager, Amy collaborates with diverse groups across campus to develop evidence-based strategies that promote health equity, prevent disease, and improve access to care. She also works closely with campus youth programs by providing leadership education and guidance related to medication management, safety, and the wellness needs of minors.

As Wellbeing Champion Program Manager, Amy combines her experience as a public health nurse with her passion for promoting individual and workplace wellbeing. By providing comprehensive training and ongoing support, she ensures Wellbeing Champions have the tools and knowledge needed to enhance the wellbeing of their colleagues and create sustainable, positive change across the university.

Prior to her current roles, Amy served as the Program Manager for the University’s COVID-19 response team within the Public Health Central Command Center. Her primary responsibilities included overseeing the immediate day to day operations of the PHCCC, providing medical guidance and assisting in the development of policies and procedures related to the pandemic.

Lydell Francis, BS

Program Manager, Belonging and Community Engagement

Lydell is an experienced program manager with a passion for fostering a healthier, more connected, and engaging work environment.  As the Belonging and Community Engagement Manager, Lydell will lead initiatives that foster a sense of belonging and facilitate meaningful connections among staff and the broader community.  With a military background, Lydell understands the importance of belonging.  Lydell is committed to creating spaces where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to participate.

Prior to Lydell’s current role, he served as the SkillBridge Program manager where he worked with Vanderbilt University leadership to create the veteran transition program by working collaboratively with various divisions and departments across the university to source internship and employment opportunities for transitioning service members from all branches of military service. Lydell developed Vanderbilt University’s first Staff Athletics while serving as the SkillBridge Program Manager.

For Lydell’s contributions to higher education and the veteran community, he was selected as a finalist for the prestigious Nashville Emerging Leader Award. Lydell also serves as a board member for NeedLink Nashville.

Kayla Austin

Housing and Relocation Coordinator

With a robust background in residential property management, Kayla brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role of Housing and Relocation Coordinator. Over the past five years, she has honed her skills in managing diverse property portfolios, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and optimizing property operations.

In her previous roles, she has successfully overseen the leasing, maintenance, and administrative functions of residential properties, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence. Her ability to navigate complex housing regulations and provide tailored solutions has consistently resulted in high occupancy rates and tenant retention.

As a Housing and Relocation Coordinator, Kayla leverages her knowledge of the housing market to assist clients in finding the perfect home. She coordinates seamless relocations, offering personalized support throughout the entire process. From initial consultation to final move-in, faculty, staff, post-docs, graduate, and professional students are ensured a smooth transition, addressing any concerns with professionalism and care.

Natasha McClure, DNP, CPNP-PC, PMHNP-BC

Associate Professor, School of Nursing

 

Dr. McClure is a nurse practitioner and faculty member specializing in pediatrics and psychiatric mental health care. With more than 15 years of experience as a nurse and educator, she is a certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). EMDR helps the brain process difficult memories so they become less distressing, while DBT provides practical tools for managing emotions, reducing stress, and enhancing relationships.

In her work with the People, Culture and Belonging team, she serves as a mental health and well-being resource, supporting VU faculty and staff in building resilience, fostering well-being, and sustaining balance for both personal and professional growth.
