Bio

Hannah Proctor is a certified nurse-midwife (CNM) who earned her midwifery education and Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 2016.  Prior to completing her graduate education, she trained with a non-profit organization in Jackson, MS to provide support in emergency departments to survivors of violence and sexual assault.  Between 2017 and 2020, she worked as a full scope CNM at a hospital-based practice in Knoxville, TN.  During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hannah returned to Vanderbilt as the assistant director of the University’s contact tracing program.  Before beginning her current coordinator role, she worked in the School of Nursing’s simulation lab, collaborating closely with staff, faculty, and students in the execution of simulation-based educational activities.  She holds her Advance Practice Registered Nurse license in the state of Tennessee and is an active member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.  She continues to work as a CNM part-time with the Vanderbilt Midwives Melrose Faculty practice at VUMC.
