Dining Digest: March 2026 Campus Dining Events

March is National Nutrition Month, and Campus Dining has a new selection of exciting collaborations across campus. Whether it is commemorating the success of athletes, celebrating beloved national holidays, or sharing a taste of our Commodores’ diverse cultural heritages, we strive to make every student feel represented and at home. Below is a preview of our March 2026 events and dates. Make sure to follow the Campus Dining Instagram for timely updates. We look forward to seeing you at an event this month!

Tuesday, Mar. 3: International Women’s Day

Time: 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Location: Sarratt Promenade
In short: In honor of International Women’s Day on March 8, a series of featured dishes cooked or inspired by women will be available for all students to enjoy on Sarratt Promenade. Stop by to celebrate with representatives from the Women’s Center and Vanderbilt Athletics! At this event, students can pick up a bingo card to align with Campus Dining’s National Nutrition Month activities.

Now–Saturday, Mar. 7: Orange Ban Continues

Time: All day
Location: Campus Dining locations across campus
In short: Campus Dining will support Vanderbilt’s men’s and women’s basketball teams in their games against the University of Tennessee by enforcing a week-long orange ban!

Wednesday, Mar. 4: Orange Ban Event with Athletics

Time: 12–2 p.m.
Location: Rand
In short: Calling all Dores! Campus Dining will be hosting an event with Athletics on March 4. Come to Rand to get an exclusive orange Campus Dining squishy!

Saturday, Mar. 7–Saturday, Mar. 15: Spring Break

Time: All day
Location: Campus Dining locations across campus
In short: Campus Dining will be operating on modified hours due to Spring Break. Please check the Campus Dining website for details on the specific hours.

Monday, Mar. 16–Tuesday, Mar. 17: VPB Speaker Event

Time: Lunch
Location: Rand and Commons
In short: Vanderbilt Programming Board is partnering with Campus Dining to host rugby Olympic medalist Ilona Maher and four-time Super Bowl champion Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski to speak at locations across campus. Themed desserts will be offered during lunchtime both days. Make sure to sport your favorite Team USA/Olympics colors or wear your most coveted football jersey!

Tuesday, Mar. 17: St. Patrick’s Day

Time: TBA
Location: Rand
In short: Feeling lucky? Join us at Rand Dining Hall to get a taste of St. Patrick’s Day’s hearty traditional meals! Our Chef James Bistro Grill station will be offering Savory staples, and the desserts station will be serving various assorted themed desserts. Don’t forget to wear green!

Tuesday, Mar. 17: Voting on the next Rand Cookie

Time: Lunch
Location: Rand
In short: Campus Dining recently shared that the Vanderbilt community has to say goodbye to the Rand Cookie as it currently exists; the facility that produces Rand Cookie dough is closing. The campus community is invited to vote on the next Rand Cookie during lunch.

Wednesday, Mar. 18: Celiac Clinic x Campus Dining, National Nutrition Month Event

Time: 12–2 p.m.
Location: Rand
In short: In honor of National Nutrition Month, Campus Dining is partnering with the Vanderbilt Celiac Clinic. More details to come.

Thursday, Mar. 19: Ramadan Ends

Time: Evening
Location: N/A
In short: Vanderbilt Campus Dining remains committed to developing an inclusive dining environment to support students observing Ramadan. Munchie Marts around campus were stocked with fresh Vandy Provision halal meal options to accommodate all students.

Thursday, Mar. 19: Dumpling Rolls with the Culinary Club

Time: 6–8 p.m.
Location: Rothschild
In short: The Culinary Club is collaborating with Rothschild College to host a dumpling roll meal for dinner.

Friday, Mar. 20: National Ravioli Day

Time: Lunch and dinner
Location: Rand
In short: Calling all pasta lovers! Rand’s pasta station will be serving “locally made artisanal seasonal ravioli” to celebrate the fun-filled pasta holiday.

Sunday, Mar. 22–Friday, Mar. 27: SEAzn

Time: TBA
Location: Rothschild
In short: Come celebrate Southeast Asian culture at an event featuring versatile dishes, games, and performances that represent each of the Southeast Asian countries! Various regional cuisines will be available at multiple dining locations across campus. Updates will be shared on the Campus Dining Instagram.  All are welcome to attend and immerse themselves in all the cultures!

Tuesday, Mar. 24: Nutrition Mini Expo, National Nutrition Month Event

Time: 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Location: Rec Center
In short: In honor of National Nutrition Month, join us at the Nutrition Mini Expo at the Rec Center. More details to come!

Wednesday, Mar. 25: Student Care Network Well-Being Fair, National Nutrition Month Event

Time: 12:30–3 p.m.
Location: Alumni Lawn
In short: The Student Care Network Well-Being Fair is back for another year! In honor of National Nutrition Month, Campus Dining will host a station where attendees can create their own electrolyte drinks. We will have recipe cards, an assortment of different juices, and add-ins for students to build their own drinks to stay hydrated throughout the day!

Monday, Mar. 30–Friday, Apr. 3: South Asia Week

Time: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner options (depending on location)
Location: Rothschild, Commons, Carmichael, and Rand
In short: South Asia Week is back with themed foods and drinks across various on-campus dining locations! Themed desserts will be available at Rand and Carmichael. A once-a-year themed drink will also be served at Carmichael. Stay tuned to the Campus Dining Instagram as plans develop. We hope to see you there!
