A Conversation on Digital Literary Studies with Don Rodrigues

On Tuesday, April 23 from 1:00-2:30 pm, Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow Don Rodrigues (English, Vanderbilt University, 2018) will discuss his scholarship and experiences at the intersection of digital humanities and the study of English literature. He will present work from his current book project, Shakespeare’s Love’s Martyr: Digital, Queer, and Collaborative Contexts, and also discuss research completed this year for his next book, Virtue Reality: Imagination, Ethics, and the Second Worlds of the English Renaissance.

Discussion will include Dr. Rodrigues’ reflections on the academic job market and on his work as a Mellon Digital Humanities Postdoctoral Fellow, which enabled substantial progress on these projects and the opportunity to collaborate around issues of race, gender, and technology.
