Tingyan(Nicholas) Deng is a sophomore at Vanderbilt from Shanghai, China majoring in computer science, math and economics. He spent his last summer at Stanford university taking summer classes and Tsinghua university for summer research on computer networks. He has familiarity in image processing, machine learning, medical imaging and algorithm training from his coursework and research projects. Outside of academics, he enjoys playing basketball and playing video games. He is very excited about helping to ease the pain of COVID-19 and continuing his research in instance segmentation as a summer research fellow from data science institute.
