Why data science? I want to engage with all parts of the data science pipeline, ranging from data collection, analysis, visualization, modeling, deployment and developing data-intensive applications that generates real value to end-users. Becoming a “fullstack data scientist” is a fun challenge.
Why did you choose Vanderbilt? DSI shows great passion for data science education by keeping the application process as open and informative as possible. The curriculum is also well-designed to fit the job market.
What are your hobbies / what do you enjoy doing outside of work and academics? I love natural documentaries and read lots of Oreilly books. I also enjoy playing Overwatch.
