What is your educational background? Economics major and mathematics minor from Birmingham-Southern College
Why data science? I became interested in data science while doing my undergraduate capstone which regarded data analysis. I liked this because I had the ability to take a large amount of information and tell a story with it.
Why did you choose Vanderbilt? I chose Vanderbilt because of the reputation of the school, so even though the program is new, I believe the DSI has the ability to make the program into one of the top programs in the nation. I also like the DSI’s determination to expose its students to recruiters.
What are your hobbies / what do you enjoy doing outside of work and academics? I enjoy trying new restaurants, watching sports, and participating in fantasy sports.
