What is your educational background? University of Virginia Class of 2019 with a Major in Economics and a Minor in Statistics
What is your working experience? As an undergraduate student, I worked for the University of Virginia football team in the recruiting department. Following graduation, I spent a year working for Sports Info Solutions as both a football video scout and research and development intern.
Why data science? Data science allows for the use of data to draw conclusions about real-world problems. The increasing prevalence of data has allowed for improvements in decision making and operational efficiency across various industries. As our understanding of data science improves, so too does our performance in sectors in which data science can be applied.
