Why data science? I chose data science because that it’s versatile, so it’s useful in many fields. I also think data science can be a great tool to communicate science to people who may not have a science background.

Why did you choose Vanderbilt? I chose Vanderbilt because this program is broad and I knew it would give me the skill to be a well rounded data scientist. Vanderbilt’s data science program is focused on many different aspects of data science and not only on mathematics which makes it unique.

What are your hobbies / what do you enjoy doing outside of work and academics? I enjoy reading, spending time outside, being active, and spending time with friends.
