A composer behind the world’s first AI opera joins Vanderbilt University professors of Musicology and Data Science to discuss how advances in artificial intelligence can impact opera and other musical styles.
Composer Derrick Skye collaborated on the AI opera “Song of the Ambassadors,” which was recently performed at the Lincoln Center. Skye will speak with DSI Chief Data Scientist Jesse Spencer-Smith and Professor of Musicology Joy H. Calico to discuss what happens when artificial intelligence meets opera.
