Guiding Questions

The content of our sessions is guided by two driving questions: (1) what would a thriving arts ecosystem in Nashville look like? and (2) what is a resilient arts organization? We engage arts leaders in this inquiry through structured discussions and hands-on workshops.

Workshop Topics

  • Challenges confronting Nashville arts sector
  • Intraorganizational dynamics in the arts sector
  • History of arts funding and advocacy for the arts sector in Nashville
  • Program evaluation in arts organizations
  • Applying the Critical Response Process within arts organizations
  • Artistic journalism and mechanisms for public arts critique
  • Arts-based solutions to civic problems
  • Supportive structures and collaborations within arts ecosystems in other cities

Supporting Artists & Arts Leaders

As a community of learning and practice, AUF supports artists and arts organization leaders in identifying information needs and gaps, investigating critical questions, and building relationships toward the advancement of collective desires for an equitable, just, and thriving urban arts infrastructure. See the Curb Center Main Events Calendar for information on upcoming convenings.
