May 1, 2020 – Information forthcoming on returning for belongings

Posted by on Friday, May 1, 2020 in Community Messages.

Dear Campus Residents,

We know many of you are eager to make plans to retrieve your belongings. We are currently finalizing a plan for return visits and will communicate that plan in the coming days.

At this time, the Nashville Mayor has extended the Stay-At-Home order until May 8. While the Governor of Tennessee has permitted some businesses to reopen, a separate task force for Tennessee’s largest cities (including Nashville) was formed to guide their re-openings. Because of Vanderbilt’s location in the heart of Nashville, Vanderbilt is closely monitoring Nashville’s “Roadmap” for Reopening. The safety of our community continues to be our top priority.

We hope to be able to accept return visits in the coming weeks. We will send communication to students when we are able to do so. Please do not request those at this time; the communication will include a survey to select a time to return.

We are grateful for your continued cooperation, collaboration and flexibility during this public health crisis.
