Biomedical Engineering

Overview:

Malachy is a 1st year graduate student in the department of Biomedical Engineering under the direction of Dr. Charles Caskey. His research includes using ultrasound activated nanoparticles to improve the targetting of focused ultrasound therapy.

Malachy grew up in Wheeling, West Virginia and completed his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. While attending college he was involved with Engineering Without Borders and Big Brother's Big Sisters. He started volunteering with VINSE NanoGuides during his second semester as a graduate student.
