Arijit Sengupta

Electrical and Computer Engineering

Overview:

Arijit Sengupta is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering program. He is dedicated to advancing the field of power electronic devices under extreme environmental conditions. Under the advisement of Dr. Arthur Witulski, he is presently conducting experimental research on radiation effects in next-generation Silicon Carbide (SiC) power devices for reliable space and terrestrial applications. His present research is funded by the Lunar Surface Technology Research (LuSTR), part of NASA’s Space Technology Research Grant program. 

In addition to his research, Arijit has a strong enthusiasm for imparting his knowledge and expertise to others. He takes pleasure in educating and guiding young individuals, with the aim of igniting their inquisitiveness and fostering a deep affection for scientific exploration.
