CSDI co-hosted a conference titled Political Representation: Fifty Years after Miller and Stokes that focused on contemporary scholarship on representation in different national, sub-national, and comparative settings though a variety of methodological approaches. The keynote presentation of the conference was Professor G. Bingham Powell's lecture on "Representation in Context." Powell, the Wilson Professor of Political Science at the University of Rochester, was scheduled to deliver the lecture marking the end of his term as president of the American Political Science Association. Since that event was cancelled due to extreme weather conditions, CSDI provided the forum for the address.
