Postdoctoral Research Fellow Position: Unravelling the Heterogeneity of Extracellular Vesicles and Particles We are searching for a full-time Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN. Full Description

Research topics
• Exploring the diverse molecular composition of extracellular vesicles and non-vesicular nanoparticles, such as exomeres and supermeres, and their roles in cell communication.
• Advancing therapeutic strategies using both naturally occurring and engineered extracellular vesicles and particles (EVPs), supported by detailed analysis of individual EVs and NVEPs.
• Investigating how EVs and NVEPs facilitate the transfer of materials between cells, with a focus on the mechanisms and implications of this process.
• The research will encompass a range of methodologies, including cell culture techniques, isolation of EVs, comprehensive cellular and biochemical assessments, alongside advanced ex vivo imaging and microscopy techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Conducting and designing experiments.
• Cell culturing and transfection.
• Utilizing advanced imaging and spectroscopy methods to carry out single vesicle analysis. 
• Applying techniques in molecular biology.
• Working alongside other team members in the laboratory to foster a collaborative research environment.
• Engaging in continuous learning through seminars, lectures, and training sessions to stay informed of the latest scientific advances and methodologies.
Requirements
• Highly motivated and productive individual with a PhD, MD, MD/PhD, in Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field. 
• Excellent knowledge of molecular biology and cell biology.
• Experience in cell culture, molecular cloning, and experience with immunofluorescent labelling and imaging.
• Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, able to handle multiple projects, take initiative, start and complete projects.
• Ability to work with set deadlines.
• Must be able to work with a variety of people from different backgrounds.
• Prior experience in writing and publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts is preferred.
