Current Opportunities at Vanderbilt

The Machine Intelligence and Neural Technologies (MINT) laboratory at the Department of Computer Science, Vanderbilt University, seeks to fill a research assistant professor position in computational optimal transport and its applications in machine learning. The prospective candidate will collaborate with Professor Kolouri at the Department of Computer Science on research, and will help with mentoring graduate students. 

We seek a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in computational optimal transport and machine learning and a passion for mentoring graduate students. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in computer science, electrical and computer engineering, or related disciplines. We are looking for the following skills:

* Being creative and able to work in team settings
* Having publications in top-tier ML conferences: ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, etc.
* Being proficient in Python (including Pytorch)
* Having strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multitask

The successful candidate will closely collaborate with Professor Kolouri. The appointment starts in March 2023. Extensions are possible but contingent on the availability of funds, satisfactory performance in carrying out the assigned duties, and mutual agreement.
