Interaction Analysis (IA), a method often used in Learning Sciences, helps researchers understand how students interact and learn together—especially by studying video recordings. But because it takes a lot of time and effort to watch and analyze many hours of footage, it can be challenging to use. This study looks at how IA methods can be combined with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to make the process easier and faster. The researchers used this combined approach to study how students participated in a group-based, physical learning activity. They share some early findings from this work and suggest ideas for how this approach could be used in the future.
