Program Overview

At this study center program, students learn about health and development policy in Geneva, the world capital for international organizations dedicated to public health, social justice, and sustainable development. Onsite briefings and lectures with experts at international and nongovernmental organizations such as the University Hospital of Geneva, the World Health Organization, the United Nations Development Programme, UNAIDS, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and Médecins Sans Frontières. Coursework includes French (multiple levels) and excursions, including travel to Rabat, Morocco, to consider the complexity of healthcare systems and health and development policy from diverse vantage points. Students live in a homestay in Nyon for the duration of the program. in the final month, students conduct independent research, focusing their efforts on their own specific interests.
