About Rothschild College

Opened in August 2022, this Collegiate Gothic-style building is a masterpiece of architecture and innovation, offering state-of-the-art amenities within its 205,000-square-foot design.

Rothschild College provides housing for over 330 students and stands as a symbol of transformation and tradition. It replaced the historic Carmichael Towers 1 and 2, representing a new era of student living. The college owes its name and vision to a $20 million gift from Marieke and Jeff Rothschild, BA’77, MS’79, whose generosity has been instrumental in advancing Vanderbilt’s residential college system.
