Care

We provide outreach and support services that empower students to navigate challenges that may affect their wellbeing or academic success. The offices within this area focus on mental, physical, academic, and sexual health needs; offer guidance, skill-building, and wellbeing practices that strengthen personal and academic success; serve as a central resource for students impacted by sexual misconduct; and connect students in distress—or those who have experienced a crisis or trauma—to appropriate campus resources. We also promote community expectations through education and accountability processes that encourage responsible decision-making and good citizenship, helping maintain a safe and healthy campus where students can thrive.

The offices within the care and accountability scope make up the Community Standards and Student Support cluster within Student Affairs.

The Center for Student Wellbeing (CSW) supports students’ personal development and academic success through individualized coaching, skill-building programs, and resources that help them thrive at Vanderbilt and strengthen lifelong wellness practices.

The University Counseling Center (UCC) supports the mental health needs of students, developing treatment plans tailored to each individual, as well as emphasizing prevention, education and collaboration.

Project Safe

Project Safe is a confidential resource offering support, information, and education related to sexual misconduct, relationship violence, stalking, and harassment. The center helps students navigate resources, understand their options, and build healthy relationships grounded in consent and care.

Student Accountability, Community Standards & Academic Integrity

Student Accountability, Community Standards & Academic Integrity promotes good citizenship within the Vanderbilt University community through education.
