Kito Huggins '96

In 2018, Kito Huggins was named to the Vanderbilt University Board of Trust. Huggins of NYC is the first student in the College Posse Scholarship Program to earn a law degree. During his years at Vanderbilt, he was president of the Vanderbilt Student Government. He is a member of the Chancellor's 'Dores of Distinction and is an active supporter of numerous alumni activities. A Double 'Dore, he earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education in 1996 and a law degree in 1999.

A founding member of the Posse Foundation, Dr. Shirley Collado was a recipient of the 2015 Peabody College Distinguished Alumni Award. She served as executive vice chancellor and chief operating officer at Rutgers, and the ninth president of Ithaca College.

In 2018, Kenya was elected as VU Board of Trust’s Young Alumni Leader for a two year term to begin July 1, 2021 following a three year term on board of the Vanderbilt Alumni Association. Kenya served as President of VUcept, a university-wide mentorship program. She is passionate about equity in healthcare and in education.
