Groundbreaking research and transformative education depend on clear values, practiced consistently: engaging complex issues with rigor, listening across differences and leading with purpose. The division supports the programs and initiatives that turn those values into daily practice at Vanderbilt — and shares what works with schools and universities across the country.
Dialogue Vanderbilt
Dialogue Vanderbilt is the university's campuswide initiative putting Vanderbilt's enduring commitment to free expression and civil discourse into practice. Through signature events, skill-building workshops and student leadership programs, Dialogue Vanderbilt helps students move from learning the habits of constructive dialogue to leading with them — in the classroom, on campus and in their communities.
Restoring Trust in Higher Education
Vanderbilt is helping lead a national conversation about the future of higher education — supporting convenings that bring together presidents, trustees and faculty from institutions across the country to restore public trust in America’s colleges and universities.

A Safe and Vibrant Jewish Community
