The Vanderbilt LGBTQ+ Policy Lab (“the Policy Lab”) connects researchers, students, and community members who are interested in the causes and consequences of LGBTQ+ policies. Our team draws on expertise from economics, sociology, political science, demography, religious studies, divinity studies, medicine, health services research, public health, law and education to advance understandings of how social and policy contexts impact the lives of LGBTQIA+ people.

Our logo was designed by Navya Thakkar (ā€™22 Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology and Studio Art double major from Mumbai, India) as part of Dr. Kendra Oliverā€™sĀ ArtLab. The logo plays on several LGBTQ+ themes, including the use of multiple colors and the incorporation of the forward pointing triangle as in the trans-inclusive pride flag. We chose the colorblind-friendly Viridis palette to be inclusive, and we intended the overlapping triangles to indicate forward movement.
