How does the application process work?

Applications open in early fall and early spring. You can indicate up to five courses that you would be willing to support as an LA or CA. The program requires that you must have made at least a B in a course to serve as an LA/CA for it. We will be independently verifying to ensure that this bar is met. In the application, you will   write a paragraph explaining why you want to be an LA/CA as well as answer a few other questions.

Based on the written applications, we will select students to interview. (If you don’t get interviewed the first time you apply, don’t worry! We typically have many more applicants that we can interview, and we’re happy to talk to you about your application.) Interviews are 15 minutes each and are led by two faculty members. The interviewers use a standard set of questions and a rubric to help ensure that they gain the type of information they need from each applicant.

After interviews, the leadership team will make final selections and email all applicants regarding their status.

How do I know if I am eligible to serve as an LA or CA for a course?

Please view this table to review the specific eligibility for each course. If you have not completed at least one of the requirements listed, you are ineligible to serve as an LA or CA for that specific course.
