Nonie Bennah
Nonie Bennah is a second-year Master of Divinity student at Vanderbilt Divinity School, where she is a 2024/2025 Lilly Ministry Fellow. She has over 10 years of experience serving non-profits in East and Middle Tennessee that serve children, families, and women.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a certificate in non-profit leadership from the Center for Nonprofit Management. She is a graduate of the Equity Alliance’s LiberTEA program, an intensive leadership program to cultivate a talent pipeline of Black Tennesseans who are ready to transform our communities as rising civic leaders and defenders of democracy.
Nonie currently serves as the NextGen Minister at Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church. She is interested in the ways the Black Church can mobilize their communities for impactful change and how proclamation from the pulpit aids in that change.
