Susannah Larry is a PhD student in Hebrew Bible and Ancient Israel with a minor in New Testament. Additionally, Susannah is a fellow in Vanderbilt’s Theology and Practice program. She holds the Master of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt Divinity School and the Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Furman University. Susannah received the Founder’s Medal for First Honors upon her graduation from the Divinity School. Susannah’s research interests include feminist hermeneutics, the lament tradition, and intertextuality of the Hebrew Bible and New Testament. Susannah joined the Graduate Department of Religion in Fall 2014. Susannah enjoys writing creative nonfiction, running, cooking vegetarian meals, and spending time with her husband and dog.
