Leonard Curry, an African Methodist Episcopal Church elder, is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He holds a Master of Sacred Theology and Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Christian Brothers University and a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Rhodes College. Leonard is interested in modern and contemporary art, as well as constructions of human subjectivity. Leonard's recent academic interests include the relation of shame and interest to identity, the relation of disability/impairment/ableism to human sexuality, and genealogies of black sexuality. Leonard Curry joined Ethics and Society in the fall of 2014.
