Dear graduate students,
With the holiday season on the horizon, many of you will engage in travel in the coming weeks. Prior to traveling, as outlined on the Return to Campus Travel FAQ, it is critical to have a plan in place to mitigate risk of COVID-19 transmission upon your return.
Graduate students who are planning to travel outside of the Nashville area for Thanksgiving, or other winter break holidays, and plan to return to campus for in-person activities before the start of in-person spring semester classes must check with their school/program regarding the protocols for their return to campus, and may be required to quarantine for 14 days.
If traveling, you must continue to employ everyday preventative actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, including wearing face coverings or masks, practice physical distancing, engage in good hand hygiene, avoid close contact with those who are sick and stay home when you are sick.
This has been a challenging year for us all. We understand visiting family, enjoying traditions, and having restorative down-time during the holiday season is essential to your mental health and wellbeing. While doing so, please continue to be mindful and responsible, and stay strong to stay healthy.
Best,
Bunmi
