VandyCart brings grocery shopping to campus with meal plan convenience

Beginning Monday, August 25, Vanderbilt Campus Dining will introduce VandyCart, a mobile grocery ordering program designed to give students a fast, affordable, and flexible way to shop for groceries right on campus.

Through the Transact Mobile Ordering app (integrated with Vanderbilt Single Sign-On), students can browse more than 150 products – including fresh produce, frozen proteins, and pantry staples – and place an order for convenient pickup. Personal care and nonfood items may be purchased using Commodore Cash, Meal Money, or a credit card.

Flexible payment options
Students can use their meal plan (up to three swipes per transaction, with each swipe valued at $12), with any additional balance covered by Commodore Cash, Meal Money, or a credit card. Each student may redeem up to six meal swipes per week through VandyCart.

Convenient pickup times and locations
Orders are available for pickup four times daily: 9 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., or 9 p.m, each with a two-hour turnaround window. Pickup is offered at four campus locations:

  • Commons Munchie Mart
  • Kissam Munchie Mart
  • Rand Dining Center
  • Highland Munchie Mart

Designed with students in mind
VandyCart is open to all undergraduate and graduate students, and is especially convenient for those living off campus. The program enhances the value of the Vanderbilt meal plan while increasing access to essential groceries in a way that supports flexibility, well-being, and the student experience.

As part of the launch, the first 100 students to successfully place a VandyCart order between Monday, August 25 and Friday, August 30 will be entered to win a Munchie Raid.
