Vanderbilt Campus Dining has introduced a new service model at The Pub at Overcup Oak to enhance order speed and efficiency for students.
Previously, diners placed their order with a cashier and received a number while food runners delivered meals to tables. Beginning today, guests will receive a pager when placing their order. When their food is ready, the pager will buzz, and they can pick up their meal from a designated window near the kitchen.
The change is part of Campus Dining’s larger Dining Upgrade initiative following Fall Break and is designed to reduce wait times and improve overall service flow. As a reminder, students can plan their dining experience using real-time occupancy information for all Campus Dining locations through the Waitz app or at waitz.io/vandydining.
Campus Dining remains committed to continuous improvement and welcomes feedback from students as this transition takes effect.
