Subscriber Benefits

Subscribers receive premium access to the AmericasBarometer, including:

  • Merged databases — single-wave files covering all countries, single-country cross-time files, and cross-time, cross-national files including core items
  • Priority technical support — direct access to our team for questions on sample design, data weights, question comparability, translation issues, and more
  • Internal server sharing — permission to share files on your institution's internal servers, provided users agree to the click license

Subscription Types and Fees

  • Type A — $1,500

    For subscribers in the US, Canada, Japan, or the EU — or institutions offering a Ph.D./master's in political science, IR, or public policy.
  • Type B — $500

    For subscribers located anywhere else in the world, or institutions that don't offer an advanced degree in the fields listed above.
  • Individual vs. Institutional

    Choose individual for a single user, paying with personal funds. Choose institutional if using institutional funds or if others will access the data.

What's Included

Subscribers are set up with IP authentication or a unique username and password, providing access to every round of AmericasBarometer data and questionnaires collected since 2004. New data sets are added automatically upon annual renewal as they're collected.


Terms of Use

Use of these data files is subject to U.S. federal regulations on research involving human subjects. Please review the corresponding technical reports for sample design details — some samples are weighted (using the variable WT) and others are not. Subscribers may not transfer data to third parties, and should acknowledge LAPOP Lab as the data source and notify us of any resulting publications.
