Student Care Coordination

About Us

Student Care Coordination at Vanderbilt is the central and first point of contact for any undergraduate, graduate, or professional student who may have an academic, personal, emotional, medical, and/or other concern. Our goal is for students to have the right support, in the right place, at the right time.

Mission

Student Care Coordination fosters wellbeing and success by identifying concerns and coordinating support for students facing life events that may interfere with their academic and personal goals using a proactive, collaborative, and student-centered approach. Student Care Coordination strives to empower students to take an active role in their wellbeing and to promote a culture of care within the Vanderbilt community.

Our Approach

Care coordination is a solutions-focused approach to assisting students with a wide variety of needs, where multiple resources may be beneficial to meet those needs. With an emphasis on “what is possible,” Student Care Coordinators engage in effective problem solving to identify and implement appropriate solutions.

Programs & Trainings

Student Care Coordination is glad to accept requests submitted by student organizations, staff, and faculty for programs and trainings on the Student Care Network, services provided by the Student Care Coordination, and responding to students in distress.
